No audio ever leaves your PC: speech recognition runs locally, and the text is typed straight into your app. If you are signed in, your dictation history syncs to our server so it follows you across your devices; nothing else is sent, and it is never shared or used for advertising.

It types the moment you release the hotkey. Because the work happens locally on your machine, there is no network round-trip to slow it down: roughly 0.15 seconds on a supported GPU, a little longer on an optimised CPU path.
Q3Which apps does it work in?
Every app where you can type: email, chat, documents, your browser, and code editors. Your words appear right at the cursor.
Q4Is it accurate in German?
Yes. Diktavo runs OpenAI Whisper large-v3-turbo locally (smaller Whisper models on weaker hardware) and is tuned for German: everyday speech, names, and compound words, so you spend less time correcting.
